Advanced Safety FeaturesHomeLine® incorporates the following advanced safety features:
  • Standby power - In the event of a power failure, you do not have to worry about being stranded in the elevator. Standby power and car lighting is made readily available to bring the elevator safely to the nearest landing.
  • Handrails - HomeLine® is fitted with handrails specially designed for the convenience and safety of the elderly and disabled passengers. They may also be specially fitted according to user requirements.
  • Outside Communication - A telephone voice communication unit is provided allowing elevator users to contact OTISLINE® - the Otis national call response center operating 24 hours per day, 365 days per year.
  • Light Beam Door Protection System (Optional) - This system uses a light beam emitter to create an invisible safety beam across the elevator entrance. If the beam is interrupted, the doors will open immediately.
