| A new series of model gearless elevators. OTIS4200 is a series of model gearless elevators suitable for medium and high-rise residential and commercial applications. The OTIS4200 system combines the latest variable frequency drive control and microprocessor technology, intelligent modular system design, compact-energy efficient gearless machine, and variable speed door operating technology. OTIS4200 elevator system is the latest high-speed gearless product from Otis. This quality elevator system has the capacity to travel up to 3.5m/s. This pre-engineered configuration utilises a proven design with proven components. The result is the OTIS4200, series of model sized economical elevators with improved delivery times. Performance and Comfort : * VVVF closed-loop vector control drive technology provides exceptional ride quality, regardless of load. * The speed control unit monitors the car speed with distance throughout the flight. By comparing the speed with an online calculated profile, fine adjustment is made to the voltage and frequency, giving a very smooth ride. * Pulse Width Modulation – The voltage and frequency of the AC power supplied to the drive is adjusted in real-time to ensure that the optimum torque is obtained from the drive motor at all points in the designed speed profiles, giving total and precise control of car motion which decreases waiting time and reduces energy consumption. * The profile generator allows for precise position detection throughout the entire ride, enabling the system to run at optimum speed curve computed on a real time basis. This reduces floor travel time up to 12% compared with a conventional VVVF system. The profile generator reduces flight time, increases leveling accuracy and improves ride quality. * Improved group architecture with a ring concept – each car controller acts as a group controller – full group operation is maintained as long as at least two cars are in normal operation. Safety : * Precise floor leveling, independent of load in the car (+/-3mm typically) Proven Reliability: * Microprocessor solid-state technology minimizes the number of moving parts, reducing possibility of mechanical failure. * A remote serial link communication system reduces the number of wires and connections between the controller and the number of wires and connections between the controller and the electrical fixtures by 50% increasing reliability. * The adoption of VVVF driving system and electromagnetism brake brings in less equipment wear and fewer callbacks. Flexibility : * The modular system structure divides the total control system into four subsystems, most of them connecting via a serial link, allowing easy adaptability to future requirements. * The self-diagnostic tool allows the elevator to be checked without being taken out of service. Quiet : Many factors ensure OTIS4200 can deliver a quiet lift ride. Using prototypes tested in the tunnels of test tower, Otis’s engineers crafted a car design that achieves smooth airflow, even at high speeds. Cars are designed to provide the requirement ventilation system has been rendered virtually silent. Acoustic damping materials and other highly effective insulators further prevent noise from entering the car interior. And Otis’s balanced fan features a uniquely designed baffle that provides superior forced ventilation with minimal perceptible noise increase. Smooth : By minimizing vibration from guiderails, as well as from aerodynamic forces affecting the car, OTIS4200 achieves an astonishingly smooth ride. As a car moves up and load of the traveling and compensating cables alter the forces on the roller guides. This results in horizontal and vertical vibration and, often, noise. OTIS engineers neutralize these factors by determining the proper load locations of the suspension points. The process-called dynamic balancing-dramatically improves ride quality. PM138 Machine : The advantages of the new Permanent Magnet PM138 machine is a reduced machine size and weight with a capacity to hold a duty load of up to 1600kg. This motor operates with a higher efficiency than previous motors. UltraTM Roller Guide : Roller guides travel along hoist way rails to keep your elevator properly aligned as it moves up and down in the hoist way. This new patented design UltraTM roller guide reduces the horizontal vibration by as much as 50% over conventional roller guides. |
