It is ideally suited for low and medium rise commercial and housing projects. The elevators are designed with capacities ranging from 6 to 13 persons with 0.70mps / 1mps speed.

- Controller :
The state-of-the art, fully computerized control system is designed for variable frequency control. It incorporates the most advanced Variable Voltage variable Frequency (VVVF) drive for Motion Control. By virtue of its site programmability, it offers the flexibility to meet changing customer needs. On the other hand, its Field Test Mechanism for easy and quick fault diagnosis outperforms other conventional elevator control systems. The powerful microprocessor provides more flexibility and efficiently controls all elevator functions for better passenger comfort and maximum safety. The close loop feedback from the optical encoder fixed to the machine enables accurate floor leveling.
- Infra-Red Door Protection System :
While entering or exiting the Otis Optimus, passengers need not have the fear of doors touching them. All OTIS Optimus elevators are fitted with Infra-Red Door Protection System, ensuring ultimate safety and comfort.
- Smooth Elevator Operation Control :
The pulse width modulation (PWM) is the heart of the VVVF control. It makes possible the control of alternative current and the supply frequency to the AC motor simultaneously. This ensures that the elevator closely follows the set speed pattern. The PWM and closed loop system guarantees smooth control during acceleration / deceleration and optimum travel time, regardless of passenger load variations.

Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) ensures smooth acceleration and deceleration for silent operation and excellent ride quality.

- Energy Saving :
The variable voltage and variable frequency control, the VF drive is able to deliver optimum torque with low starting currents during acceleration resulting in reduced power consumption. Isolation of the elevator motor through inverter from the mains improves power factor considerably.
- Better Leveling :
As a result of precise speed control, accurate and reliable car leveling is guaranteed under all load conditions as the elevator is no longer brought to stop by application of brakes.
- Silent and smooth Operation:
A high speed switching device – the IGBT(Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor) is embedded in the VF inverter. Precise wave form control coupled with the high performance of IGBT provides numerous advantages such as quiet operation, high starting torque, smoother rotation and improved reliability.
- Efficient Performance :
Greater efficiency and high performance is achieved through a powerful micro computer which is combined with the VF inverter control system. The VF Inverter provides constant speed control over the entire frequency range from zero to rated, operates at almost unity power factor, minimize reactive power, reduces motor heat and thus increase efficiency.
