SEOUL, South Korea, May 6 2020 --- Otis Korea announced that it has released a new elevator design in Korea. The design, called “Nova Plus,” is now available for installation in the company’s Gen2® Life elevators, for low-to-medium speed. Otis (NYSE: OTIS) is the world’s leading company for elevator and escalator manufacturing, installation and service.
The Gen2® Nova Plus design adds three new models – “Nova Shine,” “Nova Black,” and “Nova Sepia” – to the company’s award-winning Nova design suite. The design suite is inspired by the concept of a rising star and combines bright, high-gloss metallic materials with sensational patterns for plush interior options.
“The introduction of the Nova Plus design is an exciting addition to the suite of options we offer our customers,” said Ji-hyeon Jeong, director of the Otis Korea Design Center. “This new line continues to enhance the passenger experience, while building on our track record of award-winning, elevator designs.”
The Gen2® Nova Plus design can be customized to meet a building’s existing aesthetics. Some customizable features include:
• geometric “nano-etched” patterns
• slim LED ceiling lighting
• stainless-steel mirrors
• embossed handrails with stripes patterns
The designs that it has launched in Korea and the surrounding market have won many prestigious awards such as the Good Design awards in domestic, Red Dot Design Award, the International Forum Design Award and IDEA Design Award in abroad.
