SHANGHAI, China, July 29, 2020 – Today Otis China opened its new escalator factory, which meets Industry 4.0 standards. The manufacturing facility incorporates intelligent manufacturing and advanced automation to produce high-performance escalators and moving walkways.

Relocated from South China to East China near Shanghai, the new manufacturing base follows Otis’ global quality standards and the latest digital technologies such as 3D modelling, custom engineering and real-time quality management that enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
