For owners of our elevators, please disclose this material to the specialists who are entrusted with the maintenance and inspection work, and request that the maintenance and inspection work be performed after it is fully understood.

This document describes the items to be disclosed to the expert engineers of elevators, regarding the specialized information (inspection items, inspection methods, judgment criteria, etc.) necessary for maintenance and inspection of OTIS elevators. Please ask the expert engineer after understanding the prohibitions, precautions and safety precautions described in this document.

2. The work described in this document is intended for professional engineers who are familiar with elevators and qualified elevator inspection personnel. It is assumed that the professional engineer is satisfied with the necessary safety measures and the ability and qualification to carry out the work.

3. Do not perform inspection work that does not comply with the contents of this document. It may cause equipment failure or disaster.

4. Please do not disclose the content of this document to anyone other than the outsourced professional engineer. If a person other than a professional engineer performs maintenance/inspection based on the information learned from this material, it may cause equipment failure or disaster.

About replacement parts

1. For replacement of parts, use our genuine products or specified parts. Use of equipment or parts not specified by us or modification of the product without our consent may cause a failure or disaster. We are not responsible for any accidents resulting from these.

2.About the legal service life of elevators and the supply period of maintenance parts.

  • Legal useful life
    statutory useful life of the elevator ( "Ordinance on the useful life or the like of the depreciable assets" 1965 Ministry of Finance Ordinance No. 15), the elevator 17 years, has been defined as 15 years escalator.
  • Supply period of maintenance parts
    Our company, the service life of the main parts, thought the supply of production materials, etc., we have been with the production after the end of 20 years of the model the supply period of maintenance parts as a general rule.
